What do you need to know about purchasing hospital-grade curtains from Medical Curtains?

The number of curtains per box depends on the size of the curtains you are ordering. You must order a minimum of one box in one color or pattern. Boxes cannot be mixed or broken up.

We have affiliates that work with us to cover site audits in 50 cities around Australia.

Time frames depend on the size of the order. During covid, we have seen delays because of the demand. Generally allow up to three months as a worst-case scenario. If you are using our easyscan validation software, it automates ordering so there are seamless change-outs.

Previous studies have demonstrated that pathogens such as VRE, MRSA and Clostridium difficile are still present on non-disposable curtains even after one week post laundering (Ohl,M. et al 2011). Even with steam cleaning, the curtains still remained contaminated (White, L.F; Dancer, S.J; Robertson, C; 2007).

After installation, it is recommended you replace your facility’s curtains at least once a year.

This depends on each Infection Control policy for areas that are:

Extreme – After every Patient
High – After every patient or up to 3 months
Medium – 6mths- 1 year
Low – 1 year
